About Us

The Flock It! brand our customers know and love today was originally established as DonJer Products Company in 1946 by Don Mentzer and Jerry Goldman to sell various finishing materials to junior and senior high schools for industrial arts classes. As the popularity of flocked wallpaper and greeting cards grew in the 1960s and 1970s, the company turned all of its attention to selling flocking materials and never looked back, offering their products to everyone from hobbyists to small companies. DonJer Products was eventually reorganized in 1986 by Jerry's daughter, renamed Flock It! in 2010, and is now the country’s largest small quantity supplier of flocking fibers.

The History of Flock It!

1990

Jill Goldman, daughter of co-founder Jerry Goldman, introduces Soft Flock for the tabletop crafter. The fibers are packaged in 1/2 oz. bags with a simple applicator and water-based adhesive to allow a basic and economical alternative for the tabletop crafter.

1998

DonJer Products introduces its Mini Flocker, a simple flock applicator made of two cardboard tubes sleeved together that are pumped to spray the fibers.

2002

The DonJer Air-Assisted Spray Gun is brought to market. The applicator allows customers with air compressors to create a steady stream of fiber with a one-finger pull.

2004

Nylon fibers for outdoor use are added to the product line. These fibers become popular with waterfowlers for goose and duck decoys, rodmakers for fishing rod grips, and car enthusiasts for the restoration of classic cars.

2008

DonJer Products is awarded “Best New Product” at the 10th Annual Hotrod and Restoration Trade Show in Indianapolis, IN.

2010

DonJer Products is renamed -- Flock It!

2017

Jill Goldman sells the company to Cellusuede Products. Flock It! continues to operate independently and provides the same outstanding customer service and high-quality flock fibers.
